Curry too hot? Take a potato or coconut milk

previous tipto sub categorynext tip

Just made a curry and added too much chilli? To stop it blowing the top of your head off, just add a raw (peeled) potato. This will absorb some of the heat (leave it there for at leats 10mins or more). Alternatively, a splash of coconut milk will also tone it down.
